The Witt's go to Disney World :)

In May we went to Disney World.... As you can see we stayed a Pop Century it was a fun place to stay. We woke the boys up at 6:15 in the morning and told them where we were going. Up to that point we had kept it from them. They were very excited. We arrived in Flordia early afternoon, much to our surprise it was raining. Little did we know that would be what our entire week was like.

Flag Football and More

We had a really fun time during spring football season. The boys were on the same team, it will most likely be the only time that will happen. Not only were our boys on the team we had friends on the team too. All but Gavin and the coaches son are in Spencers school. The pictures below are from on of the best games not only to watch, but the kids had a blast in the puddles. Spencer grabbed a flag here stopping the other team from getting a touchdown.
Look out he might be the youngest and smallest on the team, but he kept up with the others. Gavin running the ball in had to hit that big puddle. How could a boy resist that?

It made picture taking easy for me when they were in the play together. Gavin loved being the center handing the ball off. They had a play that he was the center and handed the ball of it was faked to many others and they gave the ball back to Gavin to run it in. It worked !!

Look out here he comes.

I had to get a picture with my football players. I just love them.

So does Daddy....although he doesn't love taking the pictures.

If you look close you can see Gavin trying to grab a flag. During the second game Gavin grabbed a flag and stood there holding it up. The rest of the team and entire other team kept running. I didn't realize what was going on I thought he grabbed someone elses flag ,not the ball holder. Well the boys flag belt was so long it looked like he still had his flag and they scored. The opposing coach asked Gavin for the flag and put it back on, Kyle was watching all of this. Our coach told the ref my guy stopped him pulled his flag way back there. Unfortunately, Gavin had given the coach the kids flag back and the ref didn't see it. The opposing coach claimed that he had no idea what he was talking about. Well cheaters never win WE BEAT THEM.

Listening to coach getting the plays................................................

Waiting to start. Poor Gavin looks so little out there, but he did great !!!!

The first grade got to take a field trip to Greenfield Village. We had a great time, I got to go with them. I was responsible for Spencer and one other boy. We teamed up with a couple other moms and enjoyed our time.

Little did the children know, but they had to do work while there. They were given a book they had to complete. Here is Spencer sitting in the one room school house. They thought it was great to do their work in there.

Life of the Witt Family

Gavin had the pleasure of Mackenzie coming over he had to give her a ride on his four wheeler. She is a pro now and can drive it herself. This is one of my favorite pictures of them. I have visions of their wedding. HAHAHA This was Spencer before school when it was spring picture day. His hair all nice and long. I took this in case his pictures did not turn out well. The pictures he took at the beginning of the year in New Mexico were HORRIBLE. I'm sure you can understand now why I took this before he left.

Gavin had a Easter party at school. His class went outside to have a Easter egg hunt. It was great fun for him and I enjoyed watching them all. He will not go to school with his friends from prek because he will go to a different elementary school then most of them. I'm sure he will miss them. At least he will miss Brady his bestest buddy.

Kyle was gone for 3 weeks before Easter so the boys and I decorated eggs on our own. They thought this was cool because I let them climb up on the table to be closer to the cups of dye.

In April we had a dear neighbor pass. He was a friendly face on the street, all the kids loved him. We as a group decided not to let the children attend the funeral so this is what they did instead. All the kids put a message on a balloon and sent it up to Mr. Jim. They all enjoyed this and so did Mrs. Nola.

There go all the messages to Mr. Jim.

On the same evening some of the big kids played a game of basketball. It was reather funny to watch the dads play. The kids thought this was really funny.

Look at Kyle go !!

Gavin turns 5

Gavin turned 5 on March 27. He was so excited to turn 5 because then he was that much closer to going to Spencers school. We had cake and ice cream with the family. Here are just a few of our cousins. Of course we needed to get some pictures of his many gifts.......he loves opening the gifts.
For whatever reason he picked out a golfing cake this year. What can I say he loves ALL sports.

More presents !!!!

On his actual birthday I took Gavin and a few of his buddies to Chuck e cheese. Spencer was in school, but came home sick that day with strep. Lucky, Kyle was home and took him to the doctor. I'd like to mention that the only girl, Mackenzie has a black eye. She is a tough cookie ! Gavin and Mackenzie hang out lots. She has a older sister, Samantha who is Spencers age. Their family and ours are great friends.

Indoor Flag Football

When we came home after being in New Mexico we were told about a Indoor Flag Football league. Much to our surprise Gavin was able to play also. So every Thursday we spent 2 1/2 hours at the Taylor Sportsplex for football. Spencer enjoyed his time, but not as much as Gavin did. We would laugh because his hair was growing at this time and would fly up as he ran. He likes it so we are going with it. At one game the ball was thrown to Spencer much to his surprise he was able to catch it. He stood there for a minute and looked at the ball in his hand wondering what to do next. It was the cutest thing ever.
Gavin of course loved every minute. He tried his best, but keep in mind he was the smallest on the team. His team was made up of 4 and 5 year old...he was still 4. After the first game we asked the boys if they had fun, Spencer said "yes" Gavin said " no". At this point I had to ask why and his response was "I didn't like it because I didn't get a touch down." Gotta love him. He never did get a touch down, but came very close a few times. He was great at getting flags though.

During the indoor season we signed them up for Spring outdoor in the league Spencer has played in in the past. I personally like it better.

Lots of updates !!!!

Like usual I have been very lazy about updating our blog. If it was not for my wonderful sister in-law I would most likely forget about it. Anyhow, lots has happened in our family since my last entry (it's only been 6 months) so sit back and relax and enjoy the stories from our family. The pictures here are showing you how the boys wanted to grow their hair long. It's what is in you know. Gavin had to give up his was growing all wrong and would not lay in the back. As for Spencer he is still trucking along with it in the heat and all.

Merry CHRISTmas part 1

We are blessed to live in a state that has four seasons. Everyone asked me I bet you wish you were still in New Mexico when this snow hit. I simply respond "no I love having 4 seasons" Here are they boys among others on our street enjoying the snowhill in the court. When the plow trucks come down our street they push all the snow to the middle of the circle. As you can see the kids love it. They boys were trying out thier sleds in the backyard. We had lots of fun on this day. School was cancelled so we enjoyed it. Well they did anyhow, I just snowblowed a lot !! Once this snow was gone we got more and even had school cancelled for a cold day. It was 26 below zero so they didn't have school. It has been so cold here the snow has not had a chance to melt yet. I don't remember having such a cold and snowy winter.
The boys got to see Santa at the Gibralter Border Patrol Station Christmas party. We had a fun time. All of the kids ran around and enjoyed eachother. It great they don't know one another and still manage to have a good time.

Spencer was not so sure about Santa. At this point Santa was giving him a hard time about his red hair.

Now here we are the tree Christmas morning. Notice the Michigan hats in the tree? Kyle went out and shopped Christmas Eve, yes Kyle did. He went out for those hats because he was putting the boys to bed one evening and Spencer told him he really wanted a Michigan hat. He could not stand it he hat to go get him one. Until next time when I will tell you all about Chritmas morning. I hope you have enjoy our updates as of yet, but be prepared I still have more.
